Specific Hazard Information

Fear of the unknown hazard or threat can cause your business unnecessary absenteeism or evacuation. It is important that employees are made aware of the limitations of most hazards and are able to face risk with a balanced view based on knowledge and awareness.

 

Hazard Control Measures

The IRT should be identified to respond to your expected or existing hazards. Their task is to mitigate the effects on others, accomplished with minimal training, materials and equipment.

 

Training for Incident Response Teams (IRT)

The IRT will be trained and equipped in the use of PPE and specific low cost equipment to control the hazard.

 

Equipment and Material

The equipment required for use by the IRT should be assessed in line with their responsibilities and level of training.
